Your DC Family Photography Experience
Clean - Simple - Real
Make YOUR FAMILY the Stars of your home
Your family’s story isn’t just meant to be told; it’s meant to be shared in a way that transcends generations. Each piece of heirloom artwork that is delivered from our studio is created to ensure your vision is carried through from the first conversation to the final product. Read the blog to learn how a full-service portrait studio actually saves you time.

We Begin with the End in Mind
A house becomes a home when it reflects the love that grows inside.
At Lisa Maco Photography, we believe family portraits displayed in the home hold timeless power and beauty.
When your children see these portraits, they know, at a deep level, that their presence matters. They feel safe, loved, and valued.
We pride ourselves in providing Washington DC families with stunning artwork of their families as they grow and change over the years: art that hangs on the walls of your home and albums and portrait boxes that give your coffee table that perfect, personal finishing touch.
From planning your session to installation of your finished artwork, we are there every step of the way to make your family portrait process as seamless as possible.

Our Process
It's Easy and Stress-free
As with every session, we take the guess work out of the process.

Design Consultation
This is the beginning. We want to know all about your family and kids. We meet in your home to develop a vision for your session and review wardrobe ideas and artwork options. Great portraits begin with a great relationship. Tell me about your family, your home, your vision and I’ll add creativity to make it happen.

Session
This is where the fun happens! We might start with the whole family and the various groupings we discussed in the Design Consultation. If this is the year you are adding an album, we capture all the in-between spontaneous moments.

Selection
About a week after your session, we meet over Zoom to view your images together. We help you select the best portraits for the artwork you envisioned.
You get to see how wall portraits will look on your own walls, so you can feel confident that you have chosen the right size and frame. If this is an album year, you see a mock-up that we tweak during this appointment.

Delivery & Installation
In a few weeks, I deliver your custom wall art and install it if you want. It’s all done for you.
Every time you see your portraits, you will remember the moment. When your kids drive you crazy, you’ll remember the love. When they are sullen, angsty teens, you’ll remember the joy of little. When they have kids of their own, the portraits will help you tell your grandchildren stories about their mom or dad. And maybe your kids will do the same with their kids.

Long-Term Planning
We know our kids keep growing and changing, so what about next year, and the year after that? We help you create a vision for future sessions based on the ages and stages of your children and the design vision for your home.
Our pieces are curated to look good now and be able to move throughout your home (or move to a new home!) as we add to your family collection over time. See how you can display images in your home. If you have other ideas, let’s work together to make it happen.
